Question of the Week

Pin It

Happy Leap Day!!

Remember.. I want you to answer the question in the comment section too!
AND
if  you have a question to ask for an upcoming week add that in the comments too, if you ask a question and I use it you will win a prize!!

This week's question comes from Annie
Her question is 'What is the most important thing to tell your children?'

Connie-  This is a tough one Annie! There are so many important things to tell your children. I tell mine never to give up on themselves. To be whatever they want to be and not to let anyone make them be or do things they don't want to. That family is important! But I think the most important thing you can tell your children is that you LOVE them. Tell them every chance you get! It builds self esteem and confidence and makes you both feel amazing inside!!

Daphne-  love you! No matter where you go, what you do or who you are, I will love you. I would do anything for you. Nothing you can do can change how much I love you.
I may not always approve but I will ALWAYS love you.

Angela- That I love them unconditionally even when they drive me up the wall
wink emoticon do your best and never let anyone tell them that they can't. And to just have fun. Life isn't a guaranteed thing and it needs to be enjoyed!

Veronica- That I love them above everything and that they should always trust me to listen to any concern or doubt they might have. The last one is mostly to get them to tell me anything what happens at school (bulling concerns).

Kim-  I have no children, so I don't know what I would think is the most important thing to share. But I just saw a quote the other day which I think would be appropriate advice to give any child. "While it is nice to be important, it is more important to be nice."

ok, It's your turn to answer!!

Annie send me a message to claim your prize!! And thanks for the great question!!

Last day to enter!! New challenge begins tomorrow!!

Sketchy Sunday

 Hello, this is Veronica from Vicky's Scrapping Passion, and
today I am sharing with you this fun card sketch and challenge:

This sketch is from CasE This Sketch!
I found this sketch clean and simple (spoiler's alert LOL), so perfect for our next monthly challenge. Even though it was used just in cards, I wonder if you can come up with a creative scrapbooking layout from it. If you do, please share it with us, as we would love to comment on it :-)

Please visit my page http://vickyscrappingpassion.blogspot.com and leave me some love too.

LEAP Blog Hop

Pin It
Welcome to the

Have we got a hop challenge for you today.
Take the letters LEAP and create any paper crafting project; a card, a scrapbook layout, a journal page, etc.
Here is the trick....whatever you make must use L-E-A-P in it somewhere.
For example:
A lavender (L) card with embossing (E) and angled (A) with prills (P).
Get it. So who is up to the LEAP challenge. Throw a frog into your project and you've leaped right off the lily pad.

Now on with the projects...

This was such a fun idea, I just had to rise to the challenge! And let me tell you it was kind of tricky to come up with some of these letters. LOL! And I didn't add a frog. But that's ok because I just adore my final project.
I used a wood burning tool to create my very first shaker card!! That's right a wood burning tool and I will post a video of that soon!! No need to spend tons of money on the Fuse tool.
My LEAP products are...
L= Lace
E= Embellishments (sequins)
A= Acrylic Stamps
P= Pop Dots
The inside of my card is cute too! Sending love your way!
This stamp set and paper all come from Close to my Heart.

Design Team: Little St. Valentine's Gifts

Pin It
Hi happy Scrappers,

 sharing with you the little St.Valentine's gifts I made for my children teachers:

I made these cute french fries tree boxes using the Heart Treat Box (Free SVG) file from this month challenge sponsor:

Dreaming Tree!!

I used CTMH glitter and regular papers, some Teresa Collins papers, and some WeRMemories papers. For the tags, I used a punch and stamp set from EK success, CTMH inks, and CTMH pink wool thread. This file was supper easy to cut and even score using my Cricut Explorer.
I added some homemade cookies, I decorated as part of a class by my dear friend Paula Chavart.

I hope you enjoy this project and visit me to see further pictures by tomorrow.

When I came up with this theme I knew exactly what I wanted to create for you!
This was the first year my oldest (who is a Senior) attended Homecoming and he went with his brother (the freshman) and their gorgeous dates.

This SVG file was perfect for showcasing these special photos.

I didn't have the perfect paper for my photo mats. I compromised by using Washi tape to create the second color on my double mat. I am so glad I did. I love it!

I used my stylus tool to round the flower petals and give them some dimension and added some bling in the centers. The pink touch of the flowers blends in perfectly with my son's tie and his date's dress.

I love that this is girly and formal but yet I still think it has a masculine touch to it too because of the black and grays and that awesome background paper.

Hope you enjoyed my project and my handsome young men!!

 Up next is my sweet friend Pam.

Here's our line up in case you get lost.

Ladybug Luncheon Decor- Miss Kate Cuttables

Pin It

Hello my crafty friends!!

It's my day to post with  Miss Kate Cuttables! I am getting ready to head to Florida for an Annual Quilter's Luncheon. I was asked to help decorate a few of the tables so of course I used some of Miss Kate Cuttables' darling SVG files!!

But first, did you know that Miss Kate Cuttables gives away a free file everyday?
YES, absolutely FREE. So what are you waiting for, head over there and get your free file now!!

For my project I used the Ladybug file.
Ladybug SVG file for scrapbooking cardmaking free svg files free svg cuts cute ladybug svg file
The table is going to be super cute decorated with two flower pots as centerpieces. And my adorable ladybugs on sticks will be the center stars!

Each guest also receives a party favor. So I created these adorable tea light candles for each person. The tag is special because, using my Cricut and Miss Kate Cuttables' font Tall & Skinny, I was able to write the theme of the event and the date. Did you know that MKC fonts work perfectly with your Cricut Explore and the pen feature? No outlines here! I love it!!

I can't thank you enough for checking out my project. It means the world to me and I hope you truly enjoyed it. May it inspire you to create something wonderful!   Scrappy Hugs!

Don't forget the new challenge!! You could win $50 to spend at Dreaming Tree!!
